Failed Water Marble

So, not all water marbling is great looking when all is said and done.  Here is a big, fat fail for you to see! I used my new Wet N Wild Fast Dry colors that I posted in my first haul.
Teal or No Teal, Buffy the Violet Slayer, FuchsiaRama, and Saved by the Blue

Can you see the bubbles?  Especially on the middle and ring fingers.

Pinkie and ring have no white base coat, middle has a base coat of the Teal or No Teal
You will notice that in the 2nd picture, my pinkie and ring fingers aren't as bright as the other nails.  I had not put a base coat of white on those nails, so they didn't show off the colors as well.  Another issue is that you can really see the bubbles in the nail polish. I still have not figured out how to keep the bubbles off the nail.  Another problem is that the polish is fairly thin on some nails and you can see through it-especially the purple.  I think another reason I don't like it at all is that maybe I just don't like these four colors together.  Oh well!  It's just another excuse to redo my nails!
UPDATE:  This morning, I woke up and saw my nails, and the fluorescence of them shocked me! I still do not like them much, but they aren't nearly as bad as when I had just finished them.
To show you that these polishes aren't a total fail, I did a little skittle swatch for you of these 4 colors.

This is one coat.  Not nearly enough!

Two coats.  Probably enough for all but the teal.

three coats=much better!
So then I got a little crazy!  I noticed that I had a glittery based polish that matched each of those colors...

L to R: China Glaze's Skyscraper, Sally Hansen Xtreme Rockstar Pink, China Glaze's  CG in the City, and Revlon's Blue Mosaic
So, I one coated each nail with a coat of glitter!  I like it so much, I decided to wear it as a full manicure. I just have to figure out what to do with my thumbnail.
UPDATE #2: Okay, so I did my thumb in 4 coats of Wet N Wild's Grey's Anatomy. Then I coated it with the same glitter polish as my index finger: China Glaze's Skyscraper. My husband actually liked that one best, and oddly enough was interested in hearing what I had done to all of my nails.  :o) (If you know him, you will understand my shock.)  If you really want to see it, I will post my thumb, but you have to comment and tell me.
Funny story though...After painting all of my nails and putting a top coat and a quick dry on them, I put new sheets on my bed. Afterwards I noticed that my middle fingernail was completely messed up and on most other ones, it looked like the polish had moved up by about 1/16". I think that was due to the fact that I didn't use a base coat. :o(  Anyways, I had to redo my middle finger, but the others were salvageable.
Sparkly! Wet N Wild is worth the $1 it costs to buy it after all!
Hope you enjoy! I know I did!  This fail turned into a win after all!

I think it all came out great! I love that you use the less-expensive polishes, too, in your experiments! Thanks for sharing! :-)
