Moustache Monday!

I decided to participate in Moustache Monday in support of men with prostrate cancer. While September is actually Prostate Cancer Awareness Month,  cancer does not take a break for the rest of the year, and neither should we. Actually, I noticed as I read Jaime's blog, Nails Adored, about Moustache Monday,  I realized there was more to it than that. She writes in her blog, "November is Men’s Health Awareness Month, so it worked out well. This month is also referred to as “Movember” – a charity that encourages men to grow mustaches this month in support of prostate and other male cancers."

Tracy at The Trace Face Philes came up with the idea that on Monday anyone who wanted to participate could create moustaches on their nails a la Cute Nails YouTube video
in support of men battling prostate cancer.   She will post on her blog next Monday the manicures of all the people who participated!  I am so excited!
Here is my shaky-handed version of the Moustache Manicure.  I used a base coat of Orly's Beverly Hills Plum. I free-handed a french tip on my fingers with my new polish-Zoya Dove.  I tried using a dotting tool to create the mustache, but I am just not good at anything that has to do with drawing unless it is super, extremely basic (and I thought this WAS!)  It didn't work for me, so I cheated and used a Sharpie. It's still shaky.  :o)
I am running low on Seche Vite, so I decided to use my CND "Matte" top coat.  I actually liked how the top coat turned out!  While it is certainly NOT matte, it IS satiny.  I would describe it as how your nails look when you buff them out- CND matte top coat gives it a natural shine.
Here are my moustached men!  I hope you enjoy them!  My pinkie finger at the bottom, has a different style moustache, because he wanted to be different.
And if you're wondering, my thumbs were so bad, I kept them out of the picture!
Remember,  if you have a man in your life, look for these signs for prostate cancer and don't be afraid-as humans we have the ability to fight and overcome anything!
