Little Rag Doll Tattoo

In case you're wondering about the lack of polish pictures, I BROKE TWO NAILS.  No one else in this world would understand the horror of this, but I know that you do!  I cut them all down, and polished them, and all I can see is ugly little square nubs. (I may post the square ugly nubs later anyway.)  SO, while my nails grow out some, I am going to share another passion of mine-tattoos!  Today, I am going to show you one of my tattoos on my forearm...
The story behind this is, my dad and I went to the flea market one Saturday; and this little old lady was selling these three pictures of this little girl in three different poses. Something about them struck me. Maybe it reminded me of me or of my dad, but I stopped in my tracks and asked the lady how much she wanted. She told me $5 for all three!  SO, I bought them and they hang on my wall to this day.  I got a tattoo of the girl on my forearm by a super-talented artist by the name of Jason Brown, owner of S.T. Tattoo in Venice Beach.  He is really good friends with my bestie of 20 years and occasionally travels up here to do work on her friends.  The face is my favorite part of this whole tattoo!  It is so delicate and exquisite.
Here is a picture of Jason tattooing me at the San Jose tattoo Convention several years ago.  He was tattooing an American flag on the back of my arm. I will show you that in a different post.
Forgive the pictures. They were taken a long time ago before I had this much better camera!  Here is another picture of the tattoo. I actually SCANNED my arm!  LOL
Here is a scan of my arm and the original artwork!  Not bad huh?  What do you think?  Do you have any tattoos and what are they?

Awesome tattoo. He did a really good job. I have one that I got 4 years ago 2/29 to celebrate Leap year. Not my brightest idea. I keep thinking of getting more but I'm too chicken. New follower here - diggin' this site. Can't wait to see more!
