Nail-Venturous Polish-A Girl's Best Friend

 When I found nail blogging on the internet in July, Amy Day from I'm Feeling Nail-venturous was one of the first five blogs I started following.  I noticed she made her own polishes, but that she didn't sell them; so I admired from afar, and just dreamed about owning them.  When I saw that other people had somehow swapped or purchased from her, I finally dropped her an email practically begging her to swap; we went back and forth a few times, and the rest is history!  As you saw in yesterday's post, I took full advantage of her generosity and asked for thirteen of her polishes.  She told me in an email that I would be the only other person beside herself to own the polish in today's post (along with Pieces of Blue and I'm Oh So Fun!)  so here is a very girlie, pink, jelly polish called A Girl's Best Friend!
 Since this has never before been seen in the public eye, I will try to describe this as thoroughly as possible!  This polish is in a light pink jelly base.  There are glitters galore in it-large gold, purple, and royal blue hexes, gold and blue stars, medium fuchsia and blue hexes, and a fine micro glitter in gold and purple.  Whew!  That's a lot of glitter! What I failed to capture in these pictures is the light purple shimmer that it has when the sun catches it! Breathtaking!
I had no idea what to expect when I put this on, but I knew I wanted to experience it on its own with no base color like I normally do.  I put three coats on and manipulated a few of the larger hex glitters. The pink jelly reminded me of a dreamy fantasyland!  This polish was well thought out. It made me feel girlie and pretty.
 I put a coat of Gelous and two coats of Seche Vite on the top and it smoothed it out just fine!  This is really unlike anything else that I own!  It has this dreamlike quality that just grabs you!
 Here are some closeups of the polish. The glitters are eye-catching and actually lay flat on the nail!
 I love the name of this polish!  For those of us polishaholics, polish really is A Girl's Best Friend!
 I think the larger gold hexes add a more adult look to this polish. They kept catching my eye at work!
 I love this polish!  I am not exactly a girlie girl, but this polish made me feel feminine!
 Here is a bottle shot of A Girl's Best Friend. Since Nail-venturous is going to be selling on Etsy in a few weeks, you may want to get familiar with her bottles!  They are a healthy size and the round type of bottle.  The brush was great-not too skinny and not too thick.   One bonus is that the cap has a nice ridge on it that makes it easier to grab on to.  The label is quite personable- a mixture of handwritten and computer-generated!  And check out that glitter!
 Here is how the manicure looks from an arms-length away.  I think it exudes an innocence that we can all remember from our childhood.  I loved this polish and can not WAIT to try out my other twelve!  Amy is a true artist.   So what are your thoughts?

WoW Amy! One of the first you made! That is awesome! And I feel honored to be the only person to own it, although I feel sad for my fellow nail polish hoarders! LOL
