Princess Polish's Grape Jelly Review and Swatches!

Today I want to introduce you to a new indie brand made by established blogger Danielle at Princess Polish.  Danielle has had this polish line in the works since January. What you see here is Grape Jelly, one of five in her Must Be Jelly Collection.  Grape Jelly, along with the other 4 in her collection are holographic jellies. Yes, you read that right-HOLO JELLIES!  I had no idea that that could even be done!  But Princess Polish has done it!  Take a look at Grape Jelly...
Grape Jelly took 3-4 coats to become opaque.  The first coat was so sheer, I was worried it would never darken. I was wrong. It layered beautifully.  This linear holo polish was easy to put on and after three days, still has no tip wear!
One thing I like to look for in a holo polish is-what does it look like in the shade? Can it hold its own without the holo?  The answer is a resounding yes.
Grape Jelly is a deep purple jelly that was lovely to look at and it made me wonder what it would look like in a jelly sandwich...
These are my first jelly sandwiches, so bear with me... On my left hand, I layered Glitter Daze's Flower Girl over Grape Jelly and then I added another coat of Grape Jelly on top of that. The holo still shines right through the layers!
In the shade, you can see the sandwich a little bit better. I think when I buy more of this collection, I will put one layer of Princess Polish, then one layer of glitter, and repeat a few times. You can see how well these work together!

On my right hand, I layered Dollish Polish Puttin On the Ritz with Grape Jelly.  The holo still shows through and looks bedazzling!
In the shade, it still has the strength to stand on its own, and I love that about this polish! I think the only negative I can find about this new polish line is that it takes 3-4 coats to make it opaque and really that is a norm for most jellies.  With all the new indie lines coming out, I feel hesitant to try new ones. This is one I can get behind and support!
I am excited to buy the rest of the polishes in this line!  You will find Orange Marmalade, Blueberry Jam, Strawberry Jam, Mint Jelly, and Grape Jelly in her new store that opened today!  There will also be a special Limited Edition Polish called Peach Preserves.
mini bottle of Grape Jelly
Grape Jelly and the rest of the Must Be Jelly collection is available for purchase through Princess Polish right now- Monday, June 18.  She opened today at 12 EST.  Minis are $5 and Full Size are $8.50. (That is a darned good deal on a holo!)  The LE polish-Peach Preserves is $6.50 for mini and $10 for full sized.
