So how does a glitteraholic CHOOSE a glitter polish on Glitter Day?!  Let me tell you, it was a tough decision. I counted all my untrieds and then I counted how many were glitters-just over half!  I thought it would be more. LOL  I decided to go with a glitter polish made by a new indie brand-Red Dog Designs.  Red Dog Designs is opening her store this Friday, September 21 at 9pm Eastern (6pm Pacific).
Today, I am going to show you one of the four polishes in her first collection entitled "The Original Series."  They are made after the original Star Trek.  This one is called The Doctor.
The Doctor is a beautiful show stopping bright aqua-blue base with shimmers of green in it.  The aqua glitters come in a couple of different sizes and are scattered evenly throughout the polish.  What I love is the shimmery micro-fine gold glitter.  What really impressed me (besides the green shimmer in the base) is the two coats that it took to make it opaque!  I say this because in other photos I had seen of Red Dog Designs polishes, I had assumed that they were over a base coat. I mean, who can get their glitters to look like this ON PURPOSE?  I fell in love with this when it was on my nails and could not stop looking at it. I happen to love aqua blue polishes and this one is a winner.
As far as application goes, I had absolutely no issues. The glitter came out easily and it was opaque in two coats. Glitters laid flat and it just needed one coat of Seche Vite for a smooth appearance.
Here is a close-up of the yummy Doctor.
I am thrilled with this polish and want to gab the rest of the line when she opens this Friday!
LIKE Red Dog Designs n Facebook to stay on top of the opening and restocks. I believe at this time she will be selling via her Facebook page.
