My uncle passed away a few weeks ago. It came as kind of a surprise. I was told he had spots on his liver. It was made out to not be too big of a deal. It sounded like he would get treated and everything would be normal again. Then I was told he was going to the hospital to get checked out. One thing led to another, and then one day I get a call that there is nothing they can do for him, and I felt this urgent need to go say goodbye. I went to the VA hospital where he was staying twice in one week. I gave him a hug and a kiss, spent some time with him and my cousins and his grandkids. And then he was gone. It may sound stupid, but when it was time for his funeral, I wondered what polish to wear. But I suppose you, my fellow nail polish addicts, can understand that. That is why I am sharing this story with you.
I decided to wear Sea Lore's Glacial Grayling.
I didn't want to wear black. But I did want to wear something somber, yet bright. Glacial Grayling is a gunmetal grey glitter polish with some larger square glitters scattered throughout.
I used three coats and it was a bit on the thick side, so if you prefer, you can layer it over a like colored base. It was also top coat hungry, so I used a coat of Maya Cosmetics Glitter Coat and a coat of Seche Vite.
I thought this polish was a fitting polish to remember my uncle.
