Whimsical Ideas by Pam-I Believe in Fairies

Today, I want to show you another Whimsical Ideas by Pam!  This one is called I Believe in Fairies and it really does remind me of fairies!  IBIF is a lavender jelly base with pink and blue micro and small glitters and large pink and purple stars.  It is fairly translucent, so I have swatched it a few different ways today.  These first two pictures show it on its own with no colored base coat. It took four coats to make it somewhat opaque and I could still see some VNL.
This closeup picture is more true to color. It is a very whimsical and ethereal polish!  It reminds me of something a total girly girl would absolutely love!   The stars came out readily and I did no manipulating of the glitters.
Since IBIF was so translucent, I decided to also do a swatch of it over two other polishes.   On my pinkie and middle finger is a base coat of ManGlaze Mink Mitten with a coat of I Believe in Fairies.  ON my ring and index finger is a base coat of A England Lady of the Lake with a coat of I Believe in Fairies.
I LOVE the look of IBIF over Lady of the Lake!  Maybe because I am not really a girly girl, but I think it exudes a strength and beauty that I don't see in the others.  If you want a polish that is true to the base color, then ManGlaze Mink Mitten is where it's at!  It is the perfect underwear for your IBIF!
I apologize for the tip wear in the photos. Sometimes, the sun doesn't listen to me, and I end up taking pictures at the end of the day when my manicure isn't fresh.
So, tell me what you think!  Which is your favorite?
To order from Whimsical Ideas by Pam, just email her your order at pea422000@yahoo.com.    You can see the photos of the polishes she is selling, by clicking HERE.  Once you email her, she will email you back with the cost, including shipping. You just pay her via Paypal and she sends you the polish.  Simple and easy.

Nailventurous Lacquers-CORRUPTED

I am at a loss for words right now, trying to come up with some clever way to introduce this polish to you.  I usually have hard time trying to describe Nailventurous polishes in the first place, simply because of the complexity and creative genius that goes into them.  This one is no different.  Allow me to try to do justice to this fantastic polish called CORRUPTED.
As you can see, Corrupted is a deep royal blue jelly with silver diamonds, neon green bar and hex and mini hex glitter in it, and royal blue hexes.  Application of Corrupted was awesome!  I used two layers and it was neither too thick or two thin.  There was no dragging and it covered amazingly well.
I can see why Amy named this polish Corrupted.  It is a beautiful, deep royal blue that is "corrupted" by neon green glitters. It is mesmerizing to look at. It reminds me of some type of slime that you would see the bad guy use on a super hero in a cartoon!
I had a hard time editing photos this time around!  The use of glitters is so complex, that I wanted to capture everything for you to see!  The wear on this was great also. I wore it for three days and had no tip wear.
Amy's polishes are getting more and more creative the more she plays around with polishes!  Kudos to you, Amy!  You can count me as one of your many number one fans!
I LOVE THIS PICTURE...

Another Indie! Aqua Daisy-Succulent

Today I have a brand new indie brand to show you!  At least she is new to me.  This is Aqua Daisy Nail Polish from Etsy and today I am going to show you a polish called Succulent.
Succulent is a beautiful mint green with mini fuchsia hex glitters and medium fuchsia hex glitters in it. The base is a milky creme and thin.  I put three coats of this polish on and it layered really well, although there was a little pooling near my cuticles on a couple of nails.
The micro-glitters came out really easily and I did no manipulating to get ANY glitters out. I wanted to see what would end up on my nails with simple brush strokes.  As you can see there are only about two larger glitters on my nails.  Those rarely came out of the bottle.  I do wish that if makers of nail polishes like this put larger glitters in their polishes, that they would either come out more easily or not put them in there at all.  I would have been very happy with this nail polish with just micro glitter. But because it came with larger glitters, I expected some of those to come out as well and they didn't. :o(
Nevertheless, this polish is beautiful!  The mint and fuchsia compliment each other beautifully!  Although the formula was thin, it was easy to use.
The labels on the bottle are cute too!   Most of her polishes are $9, although she does sell some fantastic looking holographic polishes for $12.

HazeGlaze-Frozen Ube!

Today I have a beautiful glitter nail polish for you made by the lovely Hazel over at Haze Glaze.  I had been eyeballing this polish for some time, and never bought it. Well, I finally pulled the trigger!
I have to say that this polish has been a roller coaster ride of emotions for me. On the Etsy website the pictures are a deep, dark purple.  When I got the bottle home, (and you can see in the bottle shot) the polish looked raspberry.
Well, I love raspberry too, so I just adjusted to the fact that it was raspberry colored and not purple. The first coat looked raspberry and was beautiful! It is filled with lighter pink micro-glitters that came out easily.  The mid-sized glitters came out easily as well.   When I put the 2nd coat on, I was so surprised!  That deep purple that I had seen in the Etsy picture came alive on my nails!  The base applied smoothly and layered really well. I think my only disappointment was that the larger glitters rarely came out at all. The ones you see on my nails, I fished out.  I certainly would have liked to see more blue glitters. Those are what really sets this polish apart!
I topped it with a coat of Gelous and a coat of Seche Vite. This manicure lasted me three days, which is when I finally took it off!  There was hardly any tip wear and I found myself just staring at my nails through out the day.

Dandy Nails-Make It Real!!!

I have my first Dandy Nails Polish to show you! Let me introduce you to Make It Real.  Make It Real is a royal purple with mid-sized gold hexes and micro-mini gold glitters scattered throughout.
I used two coats and application was a breeze!  Sandy seriously knows how to make a great polish!  Sandy has been open for about a month or two now, and I have had this in my cart since she opened!  I am so happy I finally splurged and bought it!
If you are a purple lover-like me-this is a must buy!  This is my favorite of hers so far. Dandy Nails might be the new kid on the block, but she really knows her stuff!  These are high quality and they easily stand up to any other brand.

Indie Haul Post! Oh, and Some Zoyas too!

I went a little bonkers and got frustrated that I couldn't buy polish, so one night I went NUTS!  First, I bought two Sandy Dandy Polishes-Come Out and Play and Make It Real!  This picture does them NO justice!  The colors pop like crazy in person! (Stay tuned for a blog post on Make It Real tin the next two days!)
Next, Whimsical Ideas by Pam!  I just love her polishes!  I bought Kismet's Pajamas and I Believe in Fairies...
Nailventurous Lacquers, who of course is near and dear to my heart, sent me two replacements for a couple of polishes that had issues.  I got Rainbow Fish and Corrupted!!!!  WOOOHOOOO!!!!
My next lovely haul, I just had to show you the wrapping for, because it is so cute!  Beautiful bows  are wrapped around each bubble wrapped polish.
These beauties are from an indie brand on Etsy that I haven't tried yet-AquaDaisy!!!  This is Purple Heart and Succulent.  I have high hopes for these babies!
My last indie buy was from Hazel at Haze Glaze on Etsy!  She is one awesome lady with some great glitter polishes to choose from!  She also included a tester of her new polish-Fiero!  Yay!  The one on the right is called Frozen Ube. I have had this in my favorites forever!  I will have a post about Frozen Ube up in a few days as well.

The next few pictures are actually a surprise swap I had with my friend, Ashley, from Smashley Sparkles.  We decided to choose items from each others wish lists and surprise each other!  It was so fun!  She included a lot of goodies in my package; so much so that I almost felt as if I didn't include enough in her package!!!  There were some Airheads that my husband promptly stole from me!  She also included OPI removal wraps and OPI Avoplex. I fell in love with the Avoplex!!! It smells delicious!  I have been using it continuously since I got it!
The polishes I received were Zoya Ibiza, Pure Ice Cheatin, Zoya Julieanne, and Roxy!  Thank you Ashley!  I love it!
Click on the above links to visit their shops!   Also, because of my bad buying habits, I will be having my first ever blog sale which I am prepping for even as you read this!  Stay tuned for that!

Nailventurous Lacquers-Burst of Blue

I have another Nailventurous Lacquers polish to show you!  This is Burst of Blue.  When Nailventurous reopened her shop last time, I was driving home from work, and wasn't able to get home in time to buy anything; but my friend, Marnie from Ambience Shop, snagged this for me! THANK YOU, MARNIE!!
Burst of Blue is amazing in every way.  First, of all the shade of blue is mesmerizing!  I believe I just found my favorite shade of blue here!  It is like Zoya Robyn, but slightly brighter.  The blue is made up of micro matte glitters.  Then there are also white and black matte mid-sized hex glitters and bars!
It is in a clear base and it went on very smoothly and was neither too thick nor too thin.  I used three coats with no base coat.  I wanted to see the texture of the polish, and it shows!
I decided that I wanted to show it over Zoya Robyn, black, and white. So here you see my base coats...
Here is one coat of Burst of Blue.  I really love how it looks over black and white!
Here is two coats.  The index finger is three coats with no base color.  I am really loving the white and black base!  I love this polish!  This is one I will certainly be wearing as much as possible!

Lacquistry Custom-Rouhi(e)r and Now!

Jenna, the creative genius behind Lacquistry, made me a few custom polishes at my request.  I asked her to make me a glitter polish with my favorite color in it-purple and blue-make it neonish and "your can throw in some neon green or pink if you want."   WELL.   Here is what she came up with!
Jenna surprised me by naming them herself and told me I would have to wait until I get them to see the names!  I love surprises, so when I opened this one, I was tickled that she used my last name and came up with a genius name for it: "Rouhi(e)r and Now."  We giggled a little bit about it in messages, she had forgotten the "e" in my last name.  And I mentioned that it is a common mispronunciation to say my name "Roo-Heer" rather than "Roo-Yay."  But I really, really love the name!  I think it is awesome!
Of course, the polish itself is utterly and completely faint-worthy.  It is in a berry colored base.  There are multitudes of fuchsia and purple micro-glitters, mid-sized blue and fuchsia hex-glitters, and large-sized fuchsia and blue hex glitters!  I used three coats of this polish to get the coverage that I wanted.  It was somewhat messier than normal, but the end result is fantastic!
Jenna did a truly amazing job cooking this one up for me!  It got a ton of attention everywhere I went!
I am giving a bottle of this beauty away in my 400-500 Follower Giveaway!  You have a chance at winning this! (YAY!)   And don't worry, I bought an extra specifically for a giveaway. I am not giving my own away.  I wanted another person to be able to enjoy Jenna's creation as well.
