Holo Gradient with Cirque and Dandy Nails!

I have finally made a good gradient!  YAY!  Yesterday, I showed you Cirque Colors Fascination Street,  a purple holo polish. After a few days, I wanted to freshen up my manicure, so I pulled out my Dandy Nails Look Around-a green holo one coater polish!  I figured since it was a one coater, it would be easier to gradient with!  I was right!
I used a makeup sponge to sponge Look Around onto the tips.  I went over each nail 2-3 times and with not too much polish on the sponge, so as to get a more gradated look.
I think that Look Around has kicked the butt of every holo I have tried so far.  It is a one coater and the holo is so strong, it even comes through slightly in the shade.

Orly Mysterious Curse-Duochrome!

I have recently added Orly to my repertoire of nail polishes!  I know...I know...What kind of nail polish fanatic has no Orly????  me.   But don't fret fellow polish obsessed!  I have righted that wrong and am bringing to you a gorgeous duo chrome-Mysterious Curse!  It goes from a beautiful navy blue to a deep purple. Yummy...
Maybe a plum purple even?
*drooling on my screen*
I love duo chromes and my favorite have actually been the Hits Mari Moons and my one Sally Hansen Nail Prism that I got from my Auntie.  While this one isn't as great as those, it is almost there in my opinion!  The application of this one was certainly heads and tails above SH and Hits. Now if only the duo chrome effect was as strong as those without going to extreme angles!
What is your favorite brand for duo chromes?

Lacquistry Rouhier For Michelle!

Awhile ago, Jenna from Lacquistry, made me this amazing custom nail polish and then she named it after me!  Rouhier for Michelle is a packed glitter polish in purples, aquas and fuchsias!  It has a sheer purple base and goes on densely.  Jenna and I have been in cahoots for awhile since her shop has been closed down as she makes customs for people. I am one of those people. :o)
Rouhier for Michelle is a blingy glitter polish that demands that you take notice!  I could not get through the day without somebody commenting on my nails!
I layered it over Orly Charged Up.  I am new to Orly since I have been concentrating mainly on indie brands and some other brands since collecting polish.  Charged Up was pretty thin and watery, but I managed to make it opaque in two coats.  It tuns out it is a gorgeous purple!
Lacquistry is finishing up her custom creations and then will continue to supply us with her regular creations via her Etsy shop. Click HERE to bookmark her Etsy opening.  Click HERE to like her Facebook page and to get updates on new polishes and her Etsy opening.

Dollish Polish Urban Camo

I have been on a long search for a good true-to-life camo polish.  See, I was in the Marine Corps, and our camouflage uniforms were the best!  I thought it would be so great to have a camo glitter polish.  When a friend decanted her Urban Camo by Dollish Polish for me, I was thrilled!  While it lacks the brown that a true camo has, I thought I could try layering it over brown.
I layered it over NYC Mulberry Street on my pinkie and middle fingers and over Cult Nails Power Thief on my ring and index fingers.  This is two coats of Urban Camo and it went on smoothly and evenly.  It is made up of tiny apple green glitters, small black hexes, medium white and silver hexes, and large black squares.    I think it is lacking in some larger green glitters.

Naild'It GIRLS GONE WILD IN CAMO!!!

Guess what?  I have another Naild'It polish for you today and it is one of her new ones!  This crazy polish is called Girls Gone Wild in Camo!  This polish absolutely lives up to its name-WILD.  It is a blend of different sizes of hex and square glitters in a certain range of colors. It isn't quite multi-colored in that it doesn't have every color of the rainbow.  I am having such a hard time describing it, so here is how Andrea from Naild'It describes it in her listing:  Girls Gone Wild in Camo is a loaded glitter nail polish with browns, tans, blacks, greens, with hints of "hunter" orange, and everything girly pinks and reds... and last but not least gun metal (of course). It it a great layering polish but also looks good alone.
Here I've layered it over the one color it seemed to be missing-purple/blue!  One coat of Orly's Mysterious Curse and two coats of Girls Gone Wild in Camo, and I was ready to par-tay!  I love this look-it really makes all the colors pop!
As a nod to its "Camo" name, I layered it over a somewhat military green-Zoya Yara.  This is also two coats of GGWIC.  This layering gives it a much more of a camo look.
GGWIC went on superbly in two coats.  I had no issues with any part of the polish. It was neither too thick or too thin and coated the nail really well.
Here is a swatch picture for you with one coat of GGWIC on pinkie, two coats on the ring finger, and three coats on the middle.  As you can see, it layers really well and with three coats, you can almost get complete opacity!  (Pardon my horrifying cuticles which were rebelling against the 100% acetone!)
So far, I have loved my Naild'It polishes!  I still have a few more to swatch, so stay tuned for that!

Gray Comparison Post

Today, I have my second comparison post for you!  I try really hard not to buy dupe's, so comparison posts aren't my strong point; but occasionally I find that I buy a lot of one shade or one style of glitter. When that happens, I want to compare them!
Today, I have the grays!  I only own these four, so I will make do with what I have! You can see for yourself what they are below!
Obviously, Finger Paints Meet Me at the Met is nothing like the other three! It is metallic, and a different shade of gray completely!  It used to be my go-to gray before I fell in love with cremes!  Zoya Kelly goes on smoothly and evenly in two coats if somewhat thin.  It also has leans to the purple side.  China Glaze Concrete Catwalk is the truest gray of the bunch and also the darkest.  It went on the easiest in one coat!  Gosh Miss Grey was the hardest to work with and was a streaky, thin mess.  I used two coats for that one as well. I found that to be a true leaning gray as well, if not lighter in color that CC.
I wish I had more gray's to compare, but I do not!  Hope you enjoyed!

Feenix Polish Pasadena Rose

I got my first Feenix polish in a swap with Adventures of the Nail Friends.  Here is the very feminine Pasadena Rose....  What you see is four coats of Pasadena Rose. It is very translucent, therefore needed many coats.
Pasadena Rose is a light shimmery pink with a blue highlight that shows itself in the sun.  these seem notoriously impossible to capture, but if you look closely, you can see glimpses of it in my pics.
Oddly, the blue became the main star of the show when swatched over anything but pink!   Below, I did a skittle mani with four different base coats.  On my pinkie is OPI If You Moust, You Moust. My ring finger has Sinful Black. Middle finger has Cult Nails Time Traveler, and my index has ManGlaze ILF.  Each of the fingers has one coat of Pasadena Rose over it.
I was impressed by how different this polish looks over different colors!

MASSIVELY MASSIVE Haul Post!

This haul post goes waaaaaaayyyyyyy back!  My last haul post was June 20th, so this is one month's worth of polish!  Because I waited so long to post, these aren't really in order.
First up is my KB Shimmers!  YAY!  On top is Elle and Shipwreck. On bottom is Watercolor, Clown Puke, and Orange Pop.  I LOVE these and have already blogged about Elle.
Up next, are ten polishes I got from Jenna at Lacquistry!  To make a long story short, I asked her to send me some of her set aside polishes-customs that didn't work out or ones she made that she decided not to sell.  She sent me these ten and they weren't named!!!!  So I asked some of my girls in a nail polish group to help me name them!  Be prepared to have your eyes pop out!
These first two might be my favorite!  Black Velvet is a blackened plum base with aqua blue glitters and The Beautiful Ones is a periwinkle base with aqua blue glitters!
Left: Black Velvet named by Ashley is Polish Addicted.  Right: The Beautiful Ones (Prince song)
The unnamed one is a deep aqua base with all sorts of silver holo glitter.  (If you can think of a name, comment at the bottom!)
Cleopatra is a light aqua base with aqua glitters and lavender glitters
Left: currently unnamed.  Right:  Cleopatra named by Sheila from Pointless Cafe
Let's Go Crazy is  a bright fuchsia base and Raspberry Beret is a raspberry base!
Left: Let's Go Crazy!  Right: Raspberry Beret   (both Prince songs)  I <3 Prince
Raintree County is a deep sage green polish with holo in it! WOW. Totally unlike anything I have seen Jenna do yet!   When Doves Cry is all about the purple.
Left: Raintree County named by Sheila from Pointless Cafe.   Right:  When Doves Cry (Prince song!  DUH!)
I Would Die 4 You is a straight polish like Raintree County except plum colored.  I'm a 10! is a purple polish with purple and gold glitters in it.
Left: I Would Die 4 You.    Right: I'm a 10!  Named by Amy from I'm feeling Nailventurous
Up next is Nailventurous Lacquers Joker.  'Nuff said.  I mean look at it.
I actually got all cray-cray and bought some high end polishes.  These are my first Rescue Beauty Lounge polishes.  I bought 2 LE's and one older one.  The boxes are signed.
Halcyon, Faraway, and Abi.  Faraway and Abi are from the GROMM collection available now.
Next, is my first two Smitten polishes!   These are made by the lovely Noelie from Noelie's Nails.
I found out about her sale at the tail end of her selling out in her Etsy shop. Many of the ones I wanted were already gone, but I snagged these two!  Strawberry Tart....
And Pink Lemonade... I have yet to see a picture actually capture the real beauty of this polish!
My second and third Butter Londons!  Woohoo!  (Can you see me taking the picture in the bottle caps?!)
Marrow has been a long time lemming of mine.
I have reverted back to my old ways and can not say no to bright pink!  This is Queen Vic!
The very nicest thing happened to me this past week.  Jessica from Mosaic Lacquer thanked me for including her in my indie tab on my blog and wanted to send me a polish in appreciation.  WOW. No one has ever done that before!  She sent me Futz!  I happen to love grey, so expect to see this soon!
Did I mention it is holo?????
SINFUL HAUL!!!!  As we all know, Sinful Colors is having their 99 cents sale starting today and ending next weekend.  I went right out and bought these...Fig, Hazard, Dream On.  Can you believe I only owned one Sinful Polish?  The black one at that!
And these...Why Not, Innocent, Kissy, Exotic Green...  I will be going back tomorrow to see if they have others!
I have already posted about two of the three of these, but these are my Cirque Polishes.  YUMMY.
 Fascination Street, a purple holo...
 Vaudeille, a soft pink metallic...
 Epoch, a purple/green duo chrome.
I bought four of these off a blog sale, but the green and yellow didn't make it home. I gave them to a little girl who came into my work sporting blue toes. :o)  Surfer Girl and Sunbathing Beauty....
This came off of a blog sale too!  I bought Polished Perfection Sucker from The Trace Face Philes.  I admired this one on her blog when she posted it, and then when she posted  it for sale, I was all over that!!!!!
I got these Sinfuls before the sale. LOL.   Winterberry, Boogie Nights, and Nirvana.
Princess Polish!!!  I am so excited to finally have these! We had issues with USPS, and these took awhile to get here, but they are here!  JELLY HOLOS.   Yes, Please, and Thank you.
Last on my haul, but one of my new favorites is Naild'It!!!!!!  She sent me a couple to review and I fell in love with the creativity!  Here are Sumer Lovin' Water and Summer Lovin' Melon.  And that my dears, is why I now have 56 untrieds. ROFL
Well, that's it for now!   Phew!  Thanks for sticking with me. I will not be posting links to these in this post right now, but you can find most all of these in my indie tab on my home page!
