MIlani Textured Polish Collection-Swatch and Review

This afternoon, I have the Milani Texture Collection to show you!  Now, I had seen photos of them swatched and I had it in my head that I didn't like them.  Having seen them on my own nails and in person, I have to say that my opinions have changed!
I also have some crazy nail art I did with three of them at the end of the post, so please don't skip!
Since they all have some of the same qualities, let me share those first so I am not redundant.
  • New wide brush makes polishing so much easier and gives a nice clean line around the nail.
  • For even coverage, you need two coats.
  • Dry time is about 2 minutes, and you can not use top coat.
  • Application is very easy and flawless.

Yellow Mark is a Crayola yellow-bright and basic. It reminds me of Big Bird!  While I am not a fan of yellow, I know some of you will love this.

Spoiled In Fuchsia is a bright pink.  I really liked the way this played off of my skin tone.

Purple Streak is in my top two favorites here!  It helps that I love purple, but I also just love the plain texture of it.

Aqua Splash is a straight teal.  I am just realizing how much I like teal against my skin tone.

Tainted In Red is an orangey red that is very bright! I don't even like orangey reds and this won me over.

I saved my favorite for last. Shady Gray is a true gray.  It reminds me very much of wet concrete. For the last year, I had been searching for the perfect true grey, so for this to fall in my lap and be so spot on, is just full of awesome!

MY THOUGHTS: All of the Texture polishes dry to a sandpaper-like finish. I did find that it got caught up in my clothing at times. Unlike the OPI and Zoya Liquid Sands, these do not have a sparkle to them. They are more matte and one tone.  I didn't think I would like that about them, but I was wrong.  I love all of these with the exception of the yellow, and that is just for personal preference.  Application was very easy-just like putting on a cream-and that new wide brush is AMAZING!  It helped immensely with application both in this collection and the High Speed Fast Dry Collection. Ready for some texture nail art?!  I thought I would try a gradient with three of the colors, not having a clue how it would turn out.  It was quite messy and took about four coats, but I really like the results!  Check it out...

I think it looks like spun sugar!

It is even more sandpaper-like than just painting it on your nails, but all I can think of are the many color combination!

Thank you so much for reading this far, I hope you enjoyed!

My favorites were Shady Gray and Purple Streak.
Milani polishes are sold throughout the USA, both online and in stores.   My local CVS and Walgreens already had these.  They retail for around $4.49 each.
