RAOK from Set In Lacquer-Ciate and NOPI

The great thing about this nail polish community is the new friends I have made over the past year and a half.  Swapping polishes with them and getting to know them has been a huge bonus in my life. One friend, Kelly from Set In Lacquer, shocked the heck out of me by sending me a RAOK (Random Act Of  Kindness)!  I thought that I would honor her by dedicating a couple of posts to the polishes she sent me.
Kelly sent me five polishes and two of them were cute mini bottles of Ciate!  I have never owned a Ciate and couldn't wait to try them!  Twilight is the first one I want to show you.  It is a blackened polish with bronze in it. Or olive. Or dirty gold... Well, you get the idea.  It refuses to be pigeonholed with a name!
I only needed two coats, and I LOVE the way it looks on the nail!  There was no dragging or any issues with application either. I see why people like Ciate. :)
Here is a macro shot!  Kelly, if you want this back, then-um...NO!  Hahaha!
The other mini Ciate Kelly gave me is called Fade to Greige.   Something must be happening to me, because where I used to want nothing to do with a neutral polish; now I am strangely drawn to the richer tones!  This is one of those!  I only needed two coats and had even coverage.
Kelly also sent me my first Nicole by OPI!  Geesh!  I went to find the name of it, and I think I let my mom borrow it!  LOL!  So this is the polish with no name right now!  When I figure it out, I will update!  I used three coats and still had VNL, but I love the silvery purple metallic look of it.
Later, I will show you my two favorites that Kelly sent me!  One is a One of a Kind polish!  Please, go follow Set In Lacquer's blog and Facebook page if you don't already!  She is awesome and many of her swatches have made me drool!  Thank you, Kelly for being there to talk and also for this sweet gesture!
Ciate can be found at many places including Sephora.com and Nordstrom.com.
NOPI can be found at your local Target.

Ahhh, your post made me all misty-eyed! I am glad you like them. I can't remember the name of that NOPI either. Enjoy and you deserve all this and much more!
