Alter Ego Nail Enamel: Plumber-New Formulas On All Polishes!

I am excited to show you tonight's polish!  For the last few months, Cynthia from Alter Ego Nail Enamel has been fervently at work rehashing old formulas on her existing polishes and recreating new polishes!  The base she used to use made the polishes thicker and the base would separate. (It wasn't too big of a deal as a simple shake of the bottle would fix either issue.)
I am thrilled to be able to show you one of the new polishes called Plumber.  Now obviously this is a play on words as this polish is a mix of plum and blue, but I love it simply because I was a plumber for twelve years!
Alter Ego Plumber is a blue/purple base-or plum- with an obvious pink shimmer.  It dries to a satiny finish.  The brush is a wide brush much like the OPI brushes. I use two coats and it went on great.
The formula on this was perfect. It was neither thin nor thick.  I did need to give it a shake about halfway as it thickened a bit upon standing.
I put a coat of Seche Vite on and it really brought out that pink shimmer!  LOOK AT IT!
The feeling I get with this polish is ethereal and soft.  I love this polish and wore it for two solid days. After two days, I had very minor tip wear on two fingers only. It wore very well!
I daresay this will be a best seller for Alter Ego!  This is a sure winner in my book!  Great job, Cynthia on such an amazing polish!
Macro shot.

You can buy Alter Ego HERE.  Polishes are $8.50 each.

Naild'It Unique Polish Glowber

Tonight I have one more Naild'It Unique Polish to show you!  Glowber is a grass green holo that glows in the dark!
Under Ott light
I used three coats for coverage and it applied smoothly and with no issues.
In the sun
I tried to get mine to glow in the dark, but it wouldn't.  I talked to Andrea, and she had forgotten to add the ingredient that makes it glow to mine and a few other minis!  Oops. So, I can not review how well it glows, but as you can see the holo and the color are gorgeous!

Smoky Lavender Comparison

It just recently dawned on me that despite my efforts to not have dupes; I still managed to BUY ALL THE SMOKY LAVENDERS!
I decided that I MUST do a comparison post immediately-if not sooner.
I will say that none were really dupes.  RBL Forgiveness and Elevation Polish Tavan Bogd were the closest to each other, but Tavan Bogd was a shade lighter.
Insouciant was the darkest of them all and also had the added shimmer to it. The other three are straight creams.  As far as application went, A England outshone them all with its buttery, perfect application; but all of them applied well.  My opinion is you need them all if you are like me and can't get enough of smoky lavs.
Here is more of a skittle mani with some smoky purples/lavenders.
This was my first time trying on a Contrary Polish, and I have to say I was blown away by the amazing formula. It went on like butter!  The shimmer in it was very evident as well.  A England Guinevere has been my go-to color when I want something soothing to wear and is one of the few polishes I have worn more than once.  It is good to know I have a "back-up" of RBL Forgiveness when I need it.
You can find any of these shops on the page tab at the top of my blog labeled, "Indie Nail Polish Shop Links."

Rescue Beauty Lounge Forgiveness

For a girl intent on not getting dupe's, I seem to have acquired several smoky lavenders. :)  Today, I want to show you Rescue Beauty Lounge Forgiveness.
Forgiveness is part of RBL's most recent collection and I had to snatch it up along with another one.  I find myself NEEDING all smoky lavenders.
Forgiveness went on easily in two coats. It is a dusky lavender cream and I just love the amount of gray in it. I find that my RBL polishes do not stand up well to the daily grind-I get tip wear within 12 hours-but Forgiveness lasted on me for two days with very minor tip wear!  I am hoping that maybe the formula has been reworked.
I am so in love with this polish and I can never have enough of this shade!

You can buy yours right now by clicking HERE.  These beauties retail for $20 plus shipping.

Elevation Polish Uluru

So, tonight I have a stunner of a polish to show you.  Elevation Polish Uluru just came out May 7th as a new release!
Uluru is a coral-red cream polish with a gorgeous glassy shimmer in it!  I will tell you right now that I had one heck of a time photographing it and I just did not get photos I was happy with.  Corals are the hardest shade for me for some reason!
Uluru only needed two coats and it went on very well and I had no issues.  I love the vividness of the color. It makes me look really tan!
The glass fleck (I think it is glass fleck, but it could be shimmer) is a great addition to this polish.  It gives added interest, but doesn't overpower in any way.
I find myself to be getting more into corals lately and am thrilled to have this one in my collection!

You can buy Elevation Polish at  Most of her polishes retail for $8-$10.  She restocks on the 7th and 22nd of each month.  You can also visit her blog for updates at I Love Brown Nail Polish.
Elevation Polish will also be coming to Llarowe on June 5th.  LIKE Llarowe on Facebook to stay updated!

Elevation Polish Tavan Bogd-June 7th Preview

Tonight, I have a preview of a polish that will be released June 7th.  Not only is the shade my go-to shade when I reach for something to wear, the brand has become my new favorite indie brand.
Elevation Polish Tavan Bogd is part of the Mongolian Collection.
It is a smoky grey/lavender cream.
Application was a breeze and applied easily in two coats.  I had no issues and knew immediately that this was a keeper!
I am a huge fan of smoky colors and I am always reaching for my smoky lavenders when I need something soothing on my tips.  I am super excited to see the other colors coming out in Elevation Polish's Mongolian Collection. If they are anything like this, I will most definitely be buying!
