Milani Limited Edition Retro Glam with Sprinkles Effect

Press Sample
Have you all heard about the two Limited Edition Milani Collections coming out in August?  I have both collections in my possession and will be showing you one of them tonight!
The Limited Edition Retro Glam (with Sprinkles Effect) Collection is a mix of soft pastels.
What I love about Milani polishes is the myriad of uses I get with them.  The colors inspire me to be creative!  To try these out, I decided to do a skittle dot mani on one hand.  I used each of the colors as a base on each finger and then dotted in three different sizes on the top of it.
On my other hand. I used Almond Bliss as my base. I foresee using this for the base of many nail art projects.   It helps that it is very opaque as well.  I then used my dotting tool to put alternating colors of the pinks and greens on each finger.
And here is a close up of the dots!

Okay, so now on to the swatches.  Almond Bliss was the surprise favorite for me. While I may not wear it alone, it will come in very useful as a base for any nail art or stamping.  It was very opaque and went on easily. I used two coats. I then used Sprinkles on the tops of two nails. (More details on Sprinkles later.)
Strawberry Shake is the lighter of the two pinks. I used two coats and it went on easily.
Nothing makes me happy like a hot pink polish!  Raspberry Delight made me gasp when I first put it on.  It took two easy coats.
This was another on of my favorites-Creamy Pistachio lived up to its name.  It had a creamy two coat formula and reminded me of pistachios.  This one is a must.
Mint Chip is a deeper green, but in the same shade range.  Two easy coats here as well!
Lastly, is Sprinkles.  This awesome top coat is a clear base with black and white matte glitters in the shape of hexes, and bars of varying sizes.  Kudos to Milani for looking to the indie brands to get inspiration. I wish more mainstream polish brands would do the same!
Sprinkles had excellent application. The glitter came out evenly and laid flat. I used a coat of Seche Vite to smooth it out.
This Limited Edition Retro Glam Collection will be available for the month of August at select CVS and Meijer stores across the USA.  You can also buy it online at www.Milanicosmetics.com

I love both different looks. I can't wait for these pretty polishes to come to a store near me. I am planning on getting them all. I love greens and I can always use a good neutral base. A girl can never have too much pink either! I am pinning this so I can recreate the look on your second hand when I get these polishes. How cute.

Almond Bliss seems like such a great, creamy neutral. A must have!
