Glisten & Glow Cocktails Anyone? Partial Review Plus Ctrl-Alt-Del

I am excited to show you a new-to-me brand that has actually been around for quite some time! I went to Cosmoprof very spur of the moment and was excited to be able to attend an indie event hosted by Glisten & Glow, Different Dimensions, Nail Vinyls, and Cupcake Polish.  I have a lot of indie polishes to show you from that one evening and so I want to get a head start!  I've known about Glisten & Glow for some time and have actually won her top coat in a raffle and loved how it worked. What I didn't realize is that Jill was making nail polish as well.

I am going to show you two of her holos from the upcoming collection called Cocktails Anyone? which will launch July 24 at 7pm EST.  There are eight holos in the collection and they are all named after cocktails.   I will also show you her new Latex barrier and show you how it works.  At the end of this post, I have a special discount code for you as well.

Grape Groove is a linear lavender holo that went on flawlessly in two coats. I had no issues and it was the perfect consistency.
I was stunned to see that the holo showed itself inside my house-not just out in the sun. I couldn't stop staring.  I took these pictures in my bathroom. That is how strong the holo is. I also used the popular G&G HK Girl Top coat on this mani-even though it didn't need it.  The top coat was great and dried quickly.
Of course, none of my posts are complete without my macro shot.
Peach Bellini is a copper linear holo. The first coat went on sheer, but the second coat made it opaque. I was impressed with this one as well. The holo was super strong and I was impressed by the flawlessness of application.
The consistency of both of these polishes was flawless. I didn't have to worry about it pooling or about it being thick. It was effortless. If the others are anything like this one, then Jill has put out one amazing collection!

Ctrl-Alt-Del is a latex barrier.  I was tickled to find this in my bag as I have been wanting to try one since indie makers started making them!  So if you are not in the know about how to use them and what they are for, you put it around the nail area surrounding your nail. Let it dry and then do your nail art.  You can then use your index finger to roll it around your nail to clean it up!
This was so incredibly easy and I am excited to use it for nail art!  These are normally $15 in her shop but I have an exclusive code for you to use for 15% off your entire order!  Use code CPNA2015 on any orders through 9/30/2015. One promo code per transaction.

Parting Thoughts: While I knew about G&G HK Girl top coat, I didn't know she sold polish! I was highly impressed by the quality of these holos and look forward to trying more. I am also not sure I need to try other latex barriers after trying this one!  This one was impressive and I will use it in nail art for sure!  Winners all around.
